A nice morning and since it won’t be long day of travel due to weather, we gals headed up to the market we saw advertised. It was in a park and filled with arts, crafts and food items. We did a lot of looking but not too much buying. Erin bought some cinnamon dipped mini donuts that were advertised as nutritious and high protein. Can’t pass up healthy foods! She shared, thanks Erin.

We did a lot of sampling at a stand with summer sausages, cheeses and smoke fish. Made our purchases with plans for happy hour.

Our trip has slowed to a snail’s pace because of the wind forecast. We only went a short 10 miles to Kilcoursie Bay where we will anchor for the night. It is part of the Killbear Provincial Park, an extremely popular national camping area.

Understandably so as the water is clear, the beaches are sanding and the scenery is breathtaking. We were told by a local that Canada opens up the camping permits for this area on one day in April and the permits are all gone in about 10 minutes. That guy’s entire family gets on their computers at the same time trying to apply for permits.

The moon rising over what Ross and I deemed Poo Island. It seems to be the spot to take your dog because they can be turned loose to run, sniff and do their thing while master waits in the dinghy. We noticed one Springer spaniel having the time of it’s life running and jumping from rock to rock, free of it’s leash. It looked so happy!
